Welcome to Brighton Academy, a unique family-driven homeschool educational pod in Sylmar, California. We are inspired by multiple learning modalities (Montessori, Waldorf, Reggio, and more) to help every child reach their full potential at their own pace, with an individualized curriculum. With small class sizes and a focus on outdoor education and extracurricular activities, we offer a nurturing and enriching environment for your child's growth.

Curriculum

Our curriculum is tailored to meet the individual needs of each child, fostering a love for learning through engaging and innovative teaching methods.

Extracurriculars

We offer a variety of extracurricular activities embedded into our day-to-day curriculum such as dance, yoga, performing and theater arts, cooking, gardening, manners and poise to enhance your child's overall development and practical life skills. 

Small Class Size

Our small class sizes ensure that each child receives the individualized attention they need to thrive academically and emotionally. Parents are well informed with their child's engangment, progress and success! In addition to exceptional communication via text, telephone, newsletters and family hangouts, parents and guardians are always welcome to observe, participate and assist in all lessons and activities. Our village is close, and we pride ourselves in transparency, amongst all stakeholders. 

Outdoor Education

We believe in the power of outdoor learning, providing students with opportunities to connect with nature and develop a deeper understanding of the world around them. This includes stories and lessons outside in the garden, tea time picnics, tending to our chickens and resident tortoise, or grounding as a group, as we walk barefoot on the soil and tree roots to connect to our earth's vibrations.
